MVLS Thanksgiving Scavenger Hunt

Food Drive

November 10th-24th

Join us for our 8th Annual

Thanksgiving Scavenger Hunt

Each year we recieve more food donations than the last, so we are excited to see how many local Las Vegas families we will be able to bless with food this Thanksgiving!

Are you ready for a friendly community competition? Beginning, Sunday, November 10 through Sunday, November 24, MVLCS, along with our community neighbors, will be collecting non-perishable food and frozen turkeys for Lutheran Social Services.

Here's how you can join in the fun and participate:

1. Print the list of accepted items.

2. Check off your donated items.

3. Mark if you are a church or school family.

4. Place your bag and tally sheet in the appropriate labeled bin(s) in the Narthex (or give to your classroom teacher) for tracking purposes.

Our students, staff and family volunteers will be going out into our church neighborhood to get their help, too. We will go out on Friday, Nov. 15 to deliver empty grocery bags with a letter attached explaining our purpose/game and then return Friday, Nov. 22 to see if they were able to fill their bag. Each class will be assigned a street and receive points for items donated. This is a fun way to collect food for the food bank and to have a teachable moment by discussing what it means to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

Any questions, please direct them to our Preschool Director and Project Coordinator, Donna Einspahr.

If you would like to make a food donation,
you may drop off any non-perishable items in the
Narthex from November 10th-24th!
